Pet taxi vet

A consultation or hospital visit can be stressful. The driver adapts the setup and driving style to the pet’s condition, without replacing an animal ambulance or providing medical care.

AnimalCab

What the service includes

Veterinary appointments and care

A pet taxi planned around your companion’s condition.

AnimalCab provides transport to veterinary practices, clinics and hospitals across Paris and Île-de-France for dogs, cats and small pets travelling with their owner.

Vaccination, X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, surgery, specialist consultation or discharge: before departure we check the general purpose, pet size, mobility and equipment.

Driving is smooth and the vehicle matches the pet, carrier, passengers and luggage. AnimalCab is private road transport, not a veterinary ambulance or medical service.

Veterinary emergency

Call the clinic first, then arrange transport.

If the pet appears seriously ill, call a vet or hospital immediately so they can assess urgency, confirm admission and give travel instructions. AnimalCab may seek an available vehicle, including late at night when operating, but provides no medical monitoring, oxygen or treatment during the journey.

Our phone line is not staffed throughout the night. Planned journeys should ideally be booked 12 hours ahead; urgent requests are handled case by case according to real driver availability.

Journey preparation

Comfort and vulnerability

Not every patient travels in the same way.

The owner remains responsible for the pet and follows veterinary advice. We adapt the vehicle and driving to the information supplied.

Older dog or reduced mobility

Tell us whether the dog can climb, must avoid jumping or already has safe lifting support.

Anxious cat

A closed ventilated carrier and familiar cloth, if permitted, reduce handling.

After surgery

Travel only after discharge, following the clinic’s cone, dressing, position and lifting instructions.

Reactive or painful pet

Warn us first. The owner and clinic decide safe restraint; the driver performs no medical procedure.

Is AnimalCab a veterinary ambulance?+

No. AnimalCab provides private road transport without clinical staff, oxygen, monitoring or treatment. Call a vet first if the pet appears seriously ill.

Can you help in a veterinary emergency?+

We look for a vehicle according to actual availability. Call the clinic first to confirm admission. An immediate journey cannot be guaranteed.

Can the owner travel with the pet?+

Yes. State every adult, child and bag so the vehicle has enough seats and space.

Can the driver wait?+

Waiting may be quoted according to expected duration, time and parking, or a later pickup can be arranged.

Can you collect a pet after surgery?+

Yes, after the clinic authorises discharge and gives precautions. Share mobility, cone, dressing and lifting needs first.

Can a large dog with reduced mobility travel?+

It depends on weight, ability to enter and available help. Safe human assistance or equipment must be arranged when lifting is required.

Do you carry cats and small pets?+

Yes, in a suitable closed, ventilated carrier. Share species, carrier dimensions and temperature sensitivity.

Which veterinary facilities do you serve?+

Practices and clinics throughout Paris and Île-de-France, including Frégis, Alfort and ADVETIA, plus the owner’s chosen facility.
